1962 Dodge Dart, Racecar.
Up for sale is my 1962 Dodge Dart. I bought the car out of Texas 3 years ago to finish it and go drag racing. Unfortunately the economy went bad, I got laid-off and now I’m forced to sell it rather than finish it. It’s a racecar only and has no title. As you can see from the pictures the car is very clean, it has no rust on it anywhere.
The motor and transmission don’t run, they were just installed to mock the car up for a 440 cubic inch wedge motor and 727 torque flight. The interior still needs some tinwork done to finish the front floor and if you want inner fender wells under the hood, those will need to be fabricated also. It needs Plexiglas windows for the doors, rear coil over shocks for the rear end and that’s all of the big stuff I can think of except for a seat and the other miscellaneous stuff for the interior like a brake and gas pedal, gauges, shifter and so on.
The paint job is not that great, it has a few runs in it here and there but if you like the color a little wet sanding and clear paint will fix that. The slicks need replacing and if I were keeping the car I would replace the front tires as well. The only other thing wrong with the car is the front windshield will need to be replaced. It has a couple of cracks on the passenger’s side.
There are some trim pieces in the truck that I laid on the hood and took pictures of. Although you can’t see them in the pictures, there are two battery boxes mounted to the frame rails in the trunk. There is no fuel cell so you will need one of those.
The car is being sold as is for the purpose of building a racecar or using it for parts. There is no title and no warranty is being implied.
